We use Following method for creating Multimedia CDs:

Website (HTML) on a CD - This is an option we have been using for multimedia projects much more frequently recently. This method also produces a quality product and project times are considerably shorter than the Director option. This therefore reduces costs.

The other benefit about running a website from a CD is that there are no graphic file size constraints as there are no internet connection issues. Therefore graphics, animations etc. can be much larger, and even higher quality, as there is no bandwidth issue as there is on the web, so file size is of minimal importance.
